    Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of mother psychological characteristics on marital relationship and mediating effects of intentional control of infants. The subjects of this study were 212 infants and their mothers of 51 ~ 75 months in kindergarten. The collected data were analyzed through reliability analysis and structural equation modeling. The results of this study were as follows: First, the demographic and sociological characteristics showed that the higher the marital satisfaction, the higher the marital conflict, the more the children 's sex and father' s age were affected. Second, mother's psychological characteristics and intentional control of infant showed that mother' s depression decreased with higher marital satisfaction, and attention adjustment, which is a subordinate variable of intentional control of infants, increased. On the other hand, the higher the marital conflict, the more the mother 's depression increased and the infant attention attitude decreased. Third, intentional control of infant showed partial mediating effect when mother psychological characteristics affected marital relationship.
